Angel Reese’s Rookie Dream Cut Short: Bouncing Back Pretty in the Gym

Chicago Sky sensation Angel Reese’s rookie season hit a major snag with a wrist injury that’s forced her to undergo season-ending surgery. Reese was in the midst of a record-breaking rookie campaign and was a hot contender for WNBA Rookie of the Year before this setback. Fans will have to wait until 2025 to see her back on the court.

But Reese isn’t letting the injury get her down. Just days after the surgery, she was already back in the gym, showcasing her resilience and commitment to recovery.

The All-Star didn’t slow down despite the injury. She recently launched a limited edition Angel Reese x Reese’s Pieces Logo Collection through TheAngelReese.com, debuted her own line with Reebok, and announced a new podcast venture.

On the court, Reese was unstoppable, setting the league’s all-time single-season and consecutive double-double records. She led the league in rebounds and made history with three consecutive games of 20+ rebounds. With averages of 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game, she has been a powerhouse for the Sky, who are still battling for a playoff spot.
