Paula Abdul Cancels Tour: Injury Forces Pop Icon to Hit Pause

Paula Abdul has had to cancel her upcoming Straight Up! to Canada tour due to injuries. She was set to start the tour on September 25th in Victoria, British Columbia, but now needs time to heal after being advised to undergo a “minor procedure.”

In a post on X, Paula shared the tough news, explaining that while she had been receiving treatments to temporarily manage the pain, the demands of a full tour would be too much. After consulting with doctors, she was told she’d need about 6-8 weeks to recover from her injury.

With this news, she had no choice but to cancel the Canadian tour dates as well as scheduled shows in Alaska and North Dakota. Paula apologized to her fans, promising refunds at the point of purchase. She expressed her disappointment but assured fans she’ll be back, stronger and ready to perform again.

Paula, 62, wrapped up her message by thanking everyone for their love, patience, and understanding during this challenging time, saying she looks forward to returning to the stage to give the show her fans deserve. The tour was originally planned to run until October 26th.
